We were inspired by “ Shéhérazade ” by René Magritte (1948), a work that embodies the charm of the enigma. The painting, with its mysterious figure, recalls the protagonist of “ The Thousand and One Nights ”, Shéhérazade .

Sultan Shahryār, deeply hurt by the betrayal of his first wife, decided in revenge that every night he would marry a different woman and have her killed in the morning. He did this for a long time, until he met Scheherazade.

Scheherazade volunteered to marry Shahryar, determined to put an end to his cruelty. Every night she began a fascinating tale, always interrupting it at the most exciting moment. Thus, intrigued by the ending of the story, the sultan continually postponed the execution.

Night after night, Scheherazade wove tales of adventure, magic and wisdom, leaving the sultan always suspended between curiosity and expectation. Her stories, capable of speaking to the heart and mind, slowly transformed Shahryār: his anger became reflection, his revenge melted into understanding, until the sultan abandoned his tragic plan and rediscovered love and forgiveness .
